An Angel On My Shoulder

I visited the grave recently.. I know that I wasn’t there alone… I felt safe, secure and almost like someone was watching me…

I am a firm believer in angels.. and I’m sure that I have a guardian angel, I’m just not sure who it is……..

“We can all be angels to one another. We can choose to obey the
still small stirring within, the little whisper that says,
Go. Ask. Reach out. Be an answer to someone’s plea.
You have a part to play. Have faith.’
We can decide to risk that He is indeed there, watching, caring, cherishing
us as we love and accept love. The world will be a better place for it.
And wherever they are, the angels will dance.”

-Joan Wester Anderson

“We are like children, who stand in need of masters to enlighten us
and direct us; and God has provided for this,
by appointing his angels to be our teachers and guides.”

-Saint Thomas Aquinas

“We shall find peace. We shall hear angels,
we shall see the sky sparkling with diamonds.”

-Chekov

“Make yourself familiar with the angels, and behold them
frequently in spirit; for without being seen, they are present with you.

-Saint Francis de Sales

“To love for the sake of being loved is human, but to love for the sake of loving is angelic.”
-Alphonse de Lamartine

“For God comments the angels to guard you in all your ways”
.-Pslams, 91:11

“The guardian angels of life sometimes fly so high as to be beyond
our sight, but they are always looking down upon us.”

-Jean Paul Richter

“Angel of God, my guardian dear
To whom God’s love commits me here;
Ever this day be at my side,
To light and guard, to rule and guide.”

-Traditional Catholic Prayer

“When hearts listen, angels sing.”
-Unknown

“Let us be silent that we may hear the whisper of God.”
-Ralph Waldo Emerson

An American Idiot!

http://risingpakistan.wordpress.com/2007/08/03/mecca-madina-should-be-attacked-if-us-is-attacked/

http://towelianism.wordpress.com/2007/08/02/terrorists-for-tancredo/

I came across this article…

The US presidential candidate Tom Tancredo said that in his opinion the sacred Muslim cities of Mecca and Madina should be attacked if America is attacked.

The presidential candidate belonging to the Republican Party said in a restaurant that the US should consider attack on the sacred Muslim cities of Mecca and Madina to save America from nuclear attacks.

He said that in case of nuclear attacks they would decide how to target Mecca and Madina. He said this is the only way to save the US from attacks and through which it can be secured.

It may be mentioned that this is not for the first time that any statement regarding attacks on the sacred cities of the Muslims has been issued from Tom Tancredo. Earlier in 2005 also, he said about attacks on Mecca and Madina.

All I can say is………good luck to the f****** United States of America. You may actually have this stupid, **** , idiotic son of a bitch on your republican cabinet……..

God Bless the people of the United States, I pity you.

An Intruder

I am now convinced that this villa has a ghost in it. I’m lying alone downstairs in bed whilst I write this and I can hear footsteps -(Loudly)- walking back and forth across the landing……..

There is no explanation for it. There is no-one here but me.

I’m not scared because if it is a ghost, well they are friendly right, perhaps he/she forgot something… then again, perhaps he/she wants me to get the hell out of this place..

It is a new house, therefore, no-one can have died here but now I’m starting to wonder what was here before…………..

If I can do some good each day………

If there’s one good thing I can do
One heart than I can mend ♥
One teardrop I can help replace

With laughter for a friend.

One unsaid word that I can say
To take away a wrong.
One little thing I can do
To make a weak faith strong.

If there’s a kindness I can show
However great or small,
Then my life will have some meaning -
That’s what matters most of all.

Little poems like this are what get me through the day.

To be or not to be?

So, I’m starting to think more and more about marriage…..

What is the purpose of it ?

So many people nowadays don’t get married……but me, I want to.

I’m not entirely sure when I’ll get married… as a teenager I always felt I’d be married at the age of 21 – 22…..but seems at 24 and still not anywhere near ready – I might be single forever…

Thoughts:

Am I giving up my freedom? My cosy nights in were I have a bubble bath, a bottle of wine and eat chocolate until my heart is content? Do I have to change all that for a 4 pack of beer and football??

G-a-y – happy? or something more?

Gay:

 Nature or nurture?

I found out quite recently that my best friend is gay. Apparently he has known since he was about 10 or 11.

Is it genetic or is it the way we are brought up????

I really want to know….

All gays step right up -

Honestly, if your straight there is no point in answering this – because you don’t know.

America bored again?

bush-bored-as-hell.jpg

Egypt’s Muslims are growing weary of the number of specific religious edicts (“fatwas”) issued by the country’s clerics, including two recent, highly controversial ones, according to a June New York Times dispatch from Cairo. Ezzat Atiya, a lecturer at the prestigious al-Azhar Islamic University, had declared that men can be permitted to see unrelated women without their head scarves (which is ordinarily prohibited) by the symbolic act of the woman’s breastfeeding the man five times, which in theory places the woman on similar footing to the man’s mother. A second challenging fatwa declared that drinking the urine of the Prophet Muhammad would be holy. (Atiya has been suspended.) [Reuters, 5-21-07; New York Times, 6-12-07]

I have no comment. Except – I’m shocked. . . Is this true? Or america bored and trying to cause some type of controversy amongst us ?
